I value acts which connect with a goal, or greater achievement I am striving to do. I do not value being unaware of, and trusting the judgment of others regarding, my future prerequisites. For example I do not appreciate learning about the analysis of poetry, and am not at all motivated to learn it, when I have no further goal which forces me, quite literally, to have to learn such subordinate matters in order to achieve it. This diminutive pedagogy in the details of a subject, working toward a more omniscient understanding of what & who I will be, hinders my current understanding of who I am, quashing my ability to take in the moments of joy the strenuous work of the inferior and fundamental required principles which I currently study.
